This game between Fabians Flyers and O'Callaghan Legion was the best of the season for the Flyers since they finally fielded their entire team with several recovering from the dreaded covid. It is very good they stayed home while recovering. Thank you guys.

The game was never more than 2 runs apart with the lead changing hand 3 times. The Flyers held a 15-14 lead after 8 innings but the Legion scored 3 in the top of the 9th and the Flyers could only muster 1 in the bottom for a 17-16 final in favor of the Legion.
Two main reasons for the closeness of the game were inning ending plays by Jim Reed on a ground ball up the middle he turned into a close double play and a foul tip snagged off his shoe top while catching as both were made during potential big rallies.

Legion hitters
4 hits. Marino
3 hits. Knox, Witmer, Hammond,

Flyer's hitters

3 hits. Vining w/hr, Grove, Rutan,
