Steve Hill's Dukes hit very well in a sound defeat of Coconuts. Final score was 17 to 4.
Herb Oesterreich hit 4 for 4 while Steve Hill, Larry Larsen, Frank Jacobs, Brad Swenson, Ray Levesque all had 3 hits each for the Dukes.
Good defense was played by Greg Denny at 2nd base that saved some hits that the Coconuts wanted. Also playing good defense for the Coconuts were Julian Puma in center field and Bob Zelazny in right center field and Kathy McDonald at mid-field.
There was good pitching on both sides. Hal Ridley and Steve Pinnick were the pitching duo for the Dukes. At one point when Ridley was pitching the bull pen was active but he settled down just in time. B.J. Kallister and Ron Thompson did a good job of pitching for the Coconuts.
Don Lemay continues to find holes to hit through. We are in awe!
