opening of 2022 WHSS League Play.. Before we get to the game let me tell you that everyone present were treated
to a wonderful lunch supplied by KFC, one of our sponsors and to top it we were once again spoiled by the
ever good cookies made by Mel and Bob Hite. Great job Guys. As a matter of interest, does anyone have a final count
of how many cookies my Brother Ralph consumed, I lost track when he reached the double digits !!!.
Yes we did play ball and our game feathered the Fighting Coconuts managed by Robert Spitaleri and the Nationals
managed by Elmer Black. It turned out to be a well played game by both teams without any bickering, can you believe
that? The Nuts started of strong with 4 runs in the 1st However the Nats came back with 2 in the 1st, and added 4 more
in the 2nd. , and 5 in the 3rd. After 3 innings the Nats led 11 to 6.The Nats pitcher, Pat Lopiccolo gave up only 2 runs
the rest of the game. Great job Pat.I guess that's why he gets paid the big bucks !!!. The final score was Nats 17, the Nuts 8
