A very good game was played today between the Yankees and Coconuts. Both teams needed pool players to complete the roster.
Sam Lopez, manager of the Yankees, did not have his usual cup of coffee with him this morning and we wondered how he could function but he did well.
Yankees were home team and scored 4 runs in the first inning while Coconuts did not score. After 6 compete innings the Coconuts led by only one run. This score made for a good, interesting and competitive game. Neither team could score in the 7th but in the 8th inning the Coconuts came up with 3 runs. The game ended with score of 13 for Coconuts to 9 for Yankees.
There were plenty of good hits from both teams.
Lauren Fabian umpired and did a great job. Thanks Lauren.
A prayer circle was formed after the game and Wayne Shearer led us in lifting up needs and giving thanks.
