The Dukes started off well scoring 3 runs in the first, but the Warriors countered with 5 runs, which included a HR from Steve Hicks and multiple hits following.
The Warriors followed up in the 2nd with 4 more runs. In the 3rd inning, the Dukes scored 4 runs on multiple hits, but they didn’t score again until the 8th inning. There, they scored 4 runs with Jim Reed providing a HR.
The Warriors continued scoring with 4 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings, 4 runs in the 6th and 5 in the 7th with doubles coming from Jerry DeJongh and Don Keller. Don Keller also scored a HR. The Dukes flip-flopped in the 8th and scored 1 run in the 9th.
