Today the American League played on Field “A”, fighting the sun all morning.
Teams were thin again making it an eight on eight match up. Tommy Hamilton managed the Gold Eagles Team and Lou Guzman managed the Purple “People Eaters”.
JD pitched for both teams and also hit for Lou’s Purple Team.
The Golden Eagles led the game up until the bottom of the 5th, when the Purple Team scored five runs taking an 18-14 lead.
In the top of the eighth, the Golden Eagles battled back taking a 20 to 19 lead. However, in the ninth, the Golden Eagles scored three more go ahead runs making it 23 to 19.
The Purple “People Eaters” hit in the bottom of the ninth scoring and Lou G hit a base hit, scoring the last two needed runs needed to win the game 23/24.
