Friday, January 20th
A good game was played today between the Dukes and The Fighting Coconuts.
Both teams gladly received 2 pool players. The game was played with 5 outfielders.
The score was close with the Dukes leading 7 to 5 through the 5th inning. The Coconuts rallied for some runs in the 6th and 7th innings.
Final score is: Fighting Coconuts 16 and Dukes 10.
Brad Swenson led all hitters for the Dukes with 3 for 3 performance. More excellent hitting for the Dukes came from Gary Burtner, Alf Gibbons and Steve Hill, Al Andrews was stellar on defense at middle infielder. John Gibson had a clutch hit.
Good hitters for the Coconuts were Jose Rivera, Ed Gazarek, Les Jacobson, Rick Brock, Richard Kay and Pat LoPiccolo.
We thank pool players Brian Busch, Mathew Tomashoff, Brad Swenson and Freddie Dampier for playing with us today.
A prayer circle was formed after the game and Rick Brock led us as we gave thanks and lifted up needs.
