The game was a back and forth affair from the very beginning with the Patriots scoring 4 runs and the Old Timers scoring 3 runs in the first inning. By the fourth inning the game was tied at 13 runs apiece. The game continued going back and forth until the sixth inning with the Old Timers leading 20 to 14. In the top half of the seventh inning when the Patriots took the lead with 6 runs, however the Old Timers responded with 5 runs in the bottom of the seventh. The team trade runs in the eighth forcing a ninth inning where the Old Timers prevailed.
