Season opener Field B Coconuts vs Dukes
Jose Rivera started the season off with a single for the Coconuts and scored on a single by Rick Brock , 1-0 after one Coconuts.
The Coconuts kept rolling in the 2nd on hits by Pat LoPiccolo, Rick Kay and a Gary Dawson triple followed by another Jose Rivera hit to take a 4-0 lead. The Dukes managed 3 on Bill Rutan, Norm Learn and Larry Wells hits. 4-3 Coconuts after two.
Both teams scored one in the 3rd before the Dukes scored one in the 4th one a Chris Lynch triple and fielders choice to tie the score at five after four.
The Dukes took the lead on a Alf Gibbons home run 6-5 after five. But they would not score again as the Coconuts would score 12 runs in the last three innings. Final score 17-6 Coconuts.
