Tuesday 1-13-2015 National League 3 team game. 
National League 3 team game on Field D matched the Marlins, Cubs and Nationals.  Marlins managed by Jeff Simon put his team in this order:  D. Hill, Marino, Grabb, Simon, Zakrowski, Remington, Long, Moots, Seguin, Merritt, L. Baker and Gibson.  Cubs were lined up by manager Don LaMay like this; Thompson, Taylor, Shaffer, Scarbrough, Evans, Stepp, Mohan, Michalski, G. Baker, DePalma, Leggett, Yarletts and McPartlan.  Manager Elmer put his team on the field in this order:  Altemose, Pelletier, Peterson, Lopez, Ayer, Black, Burns, Taylor, Waddell, Strait, Bowley and Lopiccolo.
The Marlins had base hits from Marino, Simon, Zakrowski and Remington to account for 2 runs in the first.  Cubs had Singles by Taylor, Shaffer, and Scarbrough followed by Evans double to account for 3 runs in the middle part of the inning.  The National managed base raps from Peterson and Lopez but failed to push across any runs. The second had the Marlins score 3 runs and the Cubs and Nats were held scoreless. 
The third inning brought out the best in all teams.  The Marlins lead off with Grabb’s home run followed by Simon’s base hit and Zakrowski’s home run.  Remington, Moots and Seguin brought in the fourth run of the inning.  Cubs leadoff batter McPartlan singles to center, after a walk Taylor raps a single to right, Scarbrough, Evans, Stepp, Mohan to the same as the Cubs bring in 5.  The Nats Lopiccolo singles as does Altemose, Pelletier, Peterson and Ayer as the Nats get 4 in the last of the 3rd.  Score after 3 innings was Marlins 9 – Cubs 8 – Nationals 4.
Marlins scored 5 in the 4th, Cubs rallied for 6 in the middle of the inning and the Nats added 1 run.  Three runs crossed the plate in the 5th, one by the Marlins and 2 for the Cubs.  Marlins scored 5 in both the 6th and 7th inning.  Cubs had 3 runs in the 6th and 2 in the 7th.  Nats scored 2 in each of the final two innings.
Final Score  Marlins 25 – Cubs 21 – Nationals 9.
Leading hitters for Marlins - Grabb 4 for 5 w/Hr and 2B, Simon 4 for 5. Zakrowski 4 for 5 HR
Cubs – Taylor 4 for 4, Scarbrough 4 for 4 w/ 2 – 2B’s, and Evans 4 for 4 w 2B, McPartlan 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored.
Nationals – Peterson 3 for 3, Lopez 2 for 3
