Game started slowly on field B between Butler and the Taits. A glaring sun made pitching difficult with the Taits leading 3 to 0 after 3 innings. Butlers team took the lead with a 5 run 4th inning powered by an over the fence 3 run homer by Don Keller. The Butler boys added 2 more in the 5th to take a 7 to 3 lead. however, the Taints tallied with 16 unanswered runs to win 19 to 7. Larry Wells 7 scoreless innings to get the win. Outstanding defensive plays were turned in by Keller, Hamilton, Wells, and Rivera.
Great umpiring from Don Witmer and great sportmanship from both teams.
