National League Game on Field D, Friday  Jan. 2, 2015
Teams 1 and 2 played a prelim game to the start of the new season starting next Tuesday the 6th of January.  Team 1 Managed by Don LaMay with the lineup of Taylor, Thompson, Scarbrough, B. Mohan, Stepp, Ridley, Lautenschaler, Yarlett, McPartlin, Evans and G. Baker. Manager Black’s lineup stacked up like this, Altemose, Straight, King, Burns, Crowe, Peterson, Waddell, Ayer, Bowley, J. Smith, and Black. 
Black’s team took to the field as the home team.  After one out Thompson and Scarbrough singled, after a fielder’s choice back to back doubles from Stepp and Ridley and the visitor’s tallied 3 runs in the first.  For the home team Altemose started with a single, followed with a double to deep right off the bat of Straight.  King than raps a base hit and Burns homers to clear the bases.  Peterson singles, then a walk and Ayer raps one up the middle for the 5th run of the inning.  Both team come up with 0’s in the second.  Visitors run up another 0 in the 3rd.  Black’s team lengthen it lead by adding 4 on base hits from King, Burns, Crowe, Waddell and Ayer.  Visitors score 2 in the 4th and hold the home guys scoreless.  After the visitors scored one in the 5th inning the middle of the lineup for the homers rallied for another 5.  End of 5 score was Visitors 6 Home team 14. 
LaMay’s team lit the fire on the bases in the 7th.  After one out single by Ridley followed with an error and a fielder’s choice. McPartlin, Evans, G. Baker, Taylor single, Thompson doubles and Scarbrough singles in the 7th run of the inning to bring the score to 14 home and 13 visitors. That 7 runs wore out the visitors and they were unable to score again.  In the meantime the home team scored 7 in the 7th and 8th innings.  Final Score 21 for the home team visitors 13.
Leading hitters King 4 for 5 with double, Burns 3 HR and 2 doubles (total bases 16) Ayer 4 for 4.
Thompson 3 for 5 with double, Scarbrough 4 for 5 with 3B, Stepp with 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.
