A very exciting and competitive game was played today between Don Ouding's Old Timers and the Fighting Coconuts.
The Old Timers won 29 to 28. As evidence from the score there was good offense on both sides. Through 5 complete innings the score was tied then Ouding's team outscored the Coconuts for the next innings with the maximum of 5 runs each inning. Finally in the 8th inning it was all tied up. Then The Old Timers put together good hits by Tom Capozzi, Ken Ott, Cathy McDonald and Sam Lopez to score 2 runs. In the bottom of the 9th the Coconuts could only manage one run so the game ended with very close score.
