The Dukes hosted the Fighting Coconuts on Field C today. The Coconuts jumped out to an early 3 run Lead in the first inning on hits by Matthew, Fred DeLoach, Robbie Spitaleri Joe Peskie and Larry Grabb. The Dukes were hand cuffed by Steve Pinnick's curve ball went down 1,2,3. The Coconuts did not score in the 2nd, allowing the Dukes to tie the score at 3. The Coconut scored 4 in the 3rd on hits by the same quartet to extend their lead to 7-3, the Dukes managed 2 runs, 7-5 Coconuts after 3.
The Coconuts added 1 in the 4th before the Dukes posted a 5 spot to take the lead 8-10 after 4. At this point in the game the Coconuts bats went cold while the Duke's got hot to pull away and to go on to win the game.

Dukes: today their bottom 4 of BJ Kallister, Jose Liberato, Ric Holloway and John Turchetta carried the team going a combined total of 15-19.
Stand outs defense, Coconuts always in the dirt Robbi Spitaleri , he had the boys coming back to the dugout saying " I did not think he could throw me out from there". The Dukes, Rob "bad knee" Reed, running down fly balls in left center, including a long ball just off the grass that kept Joe Peskie from going 4-4 today.
