Friday, February 9th
An excellent and close game was played today between Don Keller's N.Y. Yankees and the Fighting Coconuts. The Coconuts won in the bottom of the 9th to finish with score of 20 to 19.
Good hitting was seen from both teams.
The Coconuts were leading until the late innings when the Yankees put together good hits and outscored the Nuts and went ahead. In the top of the 9th the Yankees went ahead by 2 runs on clutch hitting. The Coconuts were able to score 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win.
We are glad to see Gerry DeRidder back after missing a couple games due to health issues. He also was perfect in hitting today.
Always glad to have pool players. Thank you, Ken Ott and Jim Hus, for joining us.
After the game we had prayer at the mound led by Jim Hus.
