The end of January on Friday finds the Derailers winning their second game of the season by a score of 26 to 10 at the Flyers expense and it went like this:
First inning the Flyers put up to 2 quick runs. The Derailers put up 5 punctuated by a Bob Murphy double.
Inning 2 finds the Flyers without a run. The Derailers put up their second 5 punctuated by a Pat McNally double.
Third inning and the Flyers put up 3 runs on 5 singles. The Derailers follow suit with 3 of their own.
Fourth inning and the Flyers put up 3 runs again. The Derailers follow suit with 3 of their own again.
Fifth inning, 2 more for the Flyers. Yup. The Derailers follow suit with 2 of their own.
FLYERS 10 – DERAILERS 18
Alas, innings 6 thru 9 the Flyers suffer 4 scoreless. The Derailers score their third 5 run inning in the 6th, no runs in the 7th and 3 runs in the 8th to end the scoring with 26 runs.

DERAILER HITTERS of NOTE: DeRidder and Gazarek, 5 for 5, Murphy, 5 for 5 with a double. Oestrreich, 4 for 5 with a home run. Rutan, McColloch, King and Pinnick, 4 for 5. McNally 3 for 5 with a double. Hartley and Bowley, 3 for 4.
