BOARD MEETING NEWS
We are playing softball next week at the Diamondplex. The schedule will be out soon. The board is still trying to find some fields for us to play on in March. There is no game this Friday, Feb. 14th.
The three team games will count. The scoring will be 2 points for the overall winner, 1 point for the second winner and 0 points for the loser. In the case of a tie, the points will be awarded appropriately. There has been two-three team games so far. There is a possibility that another three team game will happen. The standings will be updated soon.
This years election will be held on Friday, March 27th. There are two vacancies on the board and the Commissioners spot is up for election. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, please come by the desk on Tuesday morning and get an application. If you are not going to be there next week, you can send me or any board member an email stating your preference no later than Wednesday of next week. I will be putting the ballot together next Thursday and will have it available for anyone wishing to vote before they go back home. If we find some more fields to play ball on in March, the early voting next week will not happen.
INCENTIVE PROGRAM - The board is always trying to find a way to get new players and new sponsors into our league. Right now, if you get a sponsor for the league, your league fees are waved. This will not change. Now, if you bring a new player that signs up for our league and the new player pays his league fees, you will be given a $10.00 credit towards your league fees. The new player(s) have to pay their league fees for you to get the $10.00 credit.
The end of the year party will be held on Friday, March 27th. The plan right now is to have Dukes cater the event. The board will serve the food this year.
The 2020-2021 league Application will be available next week for those of you that are going home early this year. The application on the website will be updated soon.
