Braves vs Cobras
The Braves scored 5 runs in the 1st inning with a big HR by Doug McKinny. The Cobras just 1 run. The Braves added 1 run in the 2nd inning jumping ahead 6 to 1. The Braves exploded again in the 3rd, scoring 5 more on 7 straight hits from: Reed, McKinny, Levesque,Knox, Scarborough, Remington, LoPiccolo and LaMay. The Cobras answered with 7 runs from 9 hits in 11 batters with a huge triple from Joe Peskie. The Cobras put across 5 more runs on 7 hits in the 4th to take a 13 to 11 lead. The wheels fell off again for the Cobras in the last 5 innings being out scored 15 to 4 for a final score: Braves 26, Cobras 17.
