Dukes vs Cobras
The Cobras started out well, Dukes not so well. 14 to 11 after 5 innings, Cobras on top. Even the guy that doesn’t run or move well anymore hit a clean HR over the right fielder’s head. Also, some fine defensive plays at 3rd base by Don Hawbaker, filling in for our regular 3rd basemen. The Dukes had too many good hitters today, mainly, Ray Roy, 6/6 with a triple, Bob Skidmore, 5/5 with a HR and Dave Hartly, 5/5 with a triple to outscore the Cobras, 22 to 4 in the last 4 innings. Final score 33 to 18 Dukes win.
