Dukes vs Legion Post #8

League play got off to a great start with the Dukes experienced Manager Steve Hill and Post 8 Legion's Manager Mike O'Callaghan as the home team. Scoring in the first two innings was held down due to the bright Sun facing the hitters eyes. However for the next 6 innings it was the pitchers who held the hitters at bay. Good pitching by Ron Thompson for the Dukes and Larry Wells for the Legion.

The score was tied at 9 runs each after 8 innings. things changed in the 9th. with the Dukes putting up 4 runs only to have the Legion score 5 in the bottom half, making the final score 14 to 13 in favor of the Legion.
