In a hard fought game between the Fighting Coconuts 🥥 of Spitaleri and Fabian's Flyers, the Flyers finally broke into the win column with a final of 24-22. The score sheets indicated a total of 69 hits between the two teams but there were several errors on both sides but here we go. Only 2 were recorded on the score sheets.
The lead changed hands a total of 5 times thru the top of the 6th inning with the Coconuts leading 18-10 at that point. But the Flyers laced up their hitting shoes 👞 and tied it up with 8 runs in the bottom. After 7 it was tied at 20 each and the Coconuts didn't score in the 8th but the Flyers tallied 4 in the bottom and just had to hold 'em in the 9th to chalk up the win. The Coconuts could only muster 2 in the top of the 9th for the final of 24-22.

The Flyers also discovered a secret weapon in Jim Reed, who picked up the win in relief of Rick Brock who also made a fine catch of a line drive headed up the middle after him and Reed switched positions.
