Tuesday, January 16th

The Dukes and Mets started the game with the Dukes 1 and Mets 4 at the end of one inning. The Mets had two outs before anything happened in the bottom of one when DeJongh singled as did Vining loading the bases. Toro came up for the first time in a week as he was home due to an illness in his family and hit a base-clearing double. Gelinas then brought in Toro with a sharp single to left.  The following batter hit into an inning-ending fielder's choice.

The Dukes started the 2nd inning with several hits when a sharp hit to left found a runner coming into home but DeJongh thew a perfect relayed strike to Thompson for a bang, bang, 3rd out at home ending the inning.

The Mets started off the bottom of 2nd inning with a lead-off single by Boito followed by Rutan's single to have runners on first and third at which time the rain came.  Don Witmer called the game after checking the field and determining it was too dangerous to continue.
