Subject: Quilts of Valor
Please Google Quilts of Valor, as the website can explain its origin and purpose much better than I can.
Joyce and I have been awarding QOVs for over 4 years, mainly to players and family members of WHSS. Over that period of time, we have awarded approximately 50 Quilts of Valor. WHSS now has many new members and I see by various hats they wear that some are veterans.
We want to award a Quilt of Valor to every player who is a veteran and family members who wish to receive one. See me at the ball field for a simple application and I'll get the BALL rolling for your quilt to be made,
(all volunteer and absolutely no charge) and schedule a ceremony at the American Legion Post 8, one of our long-time sponsors, at a later date. Any questions, feel free to call or text me at 507 280 9117.
There will be a ceremony at the Legion around mid-February when 2 QOVs will be awarded to a WHSS player and a family member of another if you wish to attend. Details will follow.
