The Yankees took on the N.Y. Mets and multiple runs were displayed on the scoreboard throughout the game. The N.Y. Mets had only one scoreless inning and seven of the 11 batters in the lineup crossed the plate three or more times.
The Yankees led only in the first two innings, then tied the game in the fourth when they racked up six runs. However, the N.Y. Mets would not be denied, led the rest of the way, and won the slugfest 29-26.
