The Dukes and the Fighting Coconuts played a good game today. The Dukes won 21 to 16.
Manager Steve Hill's Dukes hit well and played solid defense. Especially noted were plays by Gary Burtner.
All members of the Dukes had good hits and their pitcher Ed Fultz also had a home run.
The Coconuts played well and were glad to have pool players Roger Welch and Dan Parker. Dan informed us that he will be returning north next week and that he enjoyed playing in Winter Haven again.
After the game players gathered at the pitching mound for prayer. Greg Denny gave a good report on the improving health of his wife. They returned from the Mayo clinic in Minnesota last week where Greg's wife had excellent treatment.
