Well, opening day finally arrived in the Winter
Haven Senior Softball league. Field B had Matta's A's against Hamiltons Tigers
and if this game is any indication of how good the games will be we are in for
a great season. The game started out with the
A's scoring 5 without making an
out on hard hit balls. The Tigers were shut out in their half of the
first inning. Now the game
got interesting, the A's scored 8 runs the next 4
innings while the Tigers roared back with 14 runs making the score 14-13
Tigers.
The 6th inning saw the A's not scoring and the Tigers sent 10 men to
the plate putting a 5 spot on the board to lead 19-13.
No runs were scored on
the 7th. The 8th inning had the A's scoring 4 and the Tigers 2 making it
21-17 Motown. The never
say die A's scored 2 in the 9th for a final score
21-19 Tigers. Great game guys.
