Tuesday, March 7th
The game on Field D was one of the most exciting and unpredictable games of the season in the National league.  Simon's Yankees were the home squad vs Black's Nationals.  The Yankees had a strong start and  after 7 innings led 23-13.  Black's Nationals stormed back in the top of the eighth inning to score 10 runs and tied the contest.  They sent 14 batters to the plate in that comeback inning.  The Yankees went three and out in the bottom half of the eighth and the score was tied going into the ninth frame.  Incredibly, both squads put up donuts in the ninth and a tenth inning was played.  The Nationals scored seven unanswered runs and secured the win. The WP was Hal Ridley.  Final score was Black's Nationals 30 and Simon's Yankees 23. This game was hard fought on both sides and both teams showed great sportsmanship. Submitted by Jeff Simon
