An exciting game was played today between the Tigers and Yanks. Game was tied 15-15 after 5 innings. The Yanks went ahead in the top of the 8th only to be tied again after the Tigers scored 7 in the bottom of the inning. In the 9th inning the Yanks could not score and the Tigers responded with a lead off single by Stevie Hicks and scored the winning run on a 1 out double by Doug Ford. There was plenty of hitting with the Yanks hitting 4 home runs by Ojeda, Keller, and Doerbaum (2) over the fence. The Tigers had one hit by Miguel Gonzales. A number of great defensive plays by Bob Z, Jose Rivera, Dave Doerbaum, Les Jacobson, Vidal Villalba, and Doug Ford. Final score was 28-27 Tigers.
Good game both sides!
