Fabian's Flyers took the field against Bloom's Giants. The Giants took the lead with 3 in the top of the first, but the Flyers came back with 5 in the bottom and the race was on for 5 run innings. Both teams got 5 again in the 2nd but then Bloom's Giants put up back to back goose eggs while the Flyers scored 4 in the 3rd and another nickel in the 4th and led 19-8. The last 5 innings, the Flyers got 3 more nickels and ended up scoring in every inning. Bloom managed 3 and another 5 and another 3, but got blanked in the 8th and 9th for a final of Fabian 32 and Bloom 19.
As you will see there were many hits and consequently both teams played very good defense. About a total of 8 cleared the short fence and when they weren't flying out, it's like the ball had eyes for many hits.
