Post 8 vs Cobra’s
King’s Post 8 team came out of the gate with two single hits
from Steve Pinnick & Sam Lopez followed by Bobby Reagan’s home run; scoring
3 runs in the top of the 1st. The Cobras answered by scoring 1 run.
In the third inning the bats were hot for both teams. 5 runs for the King’s
Post 8 followed by 7 runs from Capozzi’s Cobras, tying the score at 8 to 8.
Post 8 was still alive in the 5th and
proved it by scoring 4 runs which gave them the lead. The Cobras were dormant
until the bottom of the 8th when they put some pep in their step to
score 5 runs and take back the lead. King’s Post 8 team went down in order in
the top of the ninth coming up short with the runs needed. Final score Post 8: 12 Cobra’s :13.
