Powell’s Warriors vs the Capozzi's Cobra’s on field B (not A) might have ended up different is the sun was not in everyone’s eyes!
The Warriors started by scoring 2 runs in the 1st inning. The Cobra’s reply was with 1 run. The 2nd inning was a reversal of the 1st with the Warriors getting 1 run to the Cobra’s 2 runs. Both teams woke up in the 3rd inning with 3 runs each, making the game tied at 6 to 6. The Warriors drew a blank in the 4th allowing the Cobras’ to gain the lead by 3. The 5th inning was hot for the Warriors’ with them putting 5 runs across the plate. The Cobra’s answered with 2 runs which tied the game in the 5th inning 11 to 11.
The Warriors ran out of gas in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th inning, scoring no runs. The Cobras’ capitalized in the 6th inning with 2 runs and the 8th inning with 3 runs. The final score was Warriors 11 and Cobra’s 16.
