1/18 Field D Flyers v. Post 8
The game was scheduled for Field A but was ‘Flexed’ to Field D. Both teams played well defensively with the home team Post 8 being led by MacDonald, Knox, King, Gisele Seguin and Lopez. The Flyers’ defense was anchored by Vanderhyde, Hite, Hunter, Grabb, Fryzowicz and Dudley. The defense kept the game close for 8 innings, with no team able to build a safe lead. The Flyers broke the game open in the 9th, sending 25 men to the plate and scoring 19 runs. Larry Wells, the winning pitcher, delivered a 3 run single during the big inning. Final Score 32-12 Flyers.
