National League Game on Field C.

Today the visiting team was managed by Jeff Simon who stacked his players in this order, McLellan, Mahon, D. Hill, Zakrowski, Simon, F. Miller, Ridley, Ducham, Moots, Thompson, J. Smith, Holley and Welton.  The home team manager Larry Powell, submitted his line up with Remington, leading off and Guspyt, Crowe, Burns, Bess, B. Mohan, Waddell, Ayala, Bloom, Powell, M. Mohan, L. Baker, Barnes, & G. Baker to follow.

 Both managers loaded the top of their lineups as there was a time limit on the game today due to a tournament to be played this weekend.  So the visitors McLellan leads off with a double to left centerfield and Hill follows with another double to right center. Zakrowski and Simon andRidley  had singles and score the max 5 runs.  Remington comes to bat for the home team with a double and after a hard ground out at first the runner took third on the play.  Crowe follows with a single, Burns doubles to deep right Waddell and Ayala have singles so the visitors score 4.  5 to 4 after one inning.

Ducham and Moots start the 2^nd with base hits, and after a couple of errors and infield out both score for the only two runs of the inning.  Simon starts the forth with a walk, Miller singles, and a fielders choice brings in a run.  Ducham than singles but the next two batter make outs.  Waddell reaches base on an error, Bloom and Powell have hits and another error then Barnes drives in two and the home team score 4.  After four the score is Visitors 9 Home team 11.

In the 5^th Karen Hollis leads off with a liner to left, McCellan and Hill single and Hollis scores for the only run of their inning.  Visitors Miller starts the second half of the inning with a hit, Ridley, Ducham, Moots also have base hit and Thompson walks to force in a run.  Total for the home team in the inning 3.  From that point on neither team could score a run and the game ended after 8 innings.  The final out of the game had Ducham’s liner to left centerfield and Guspyt racing in and making a diving roll over catch for the final out.  Great catch Ed and tuff luck Fred.  Final Score Home Team 16 Visitors 13.
