Friday, March 2nd
Two teams playing on Field A today were the Visiting Flyers managed by Fabian and the home team managed by Strait.  Flyers – Simon, Boswell, Abramoff, Constantine, Roy, Benson, Britton, Castilleja, LoPiccolo, Taylor, Zakrowski, Fabian and Zukic.  Braves – Fryzowicz, Newton, Burtner, Hite, Kriger, Marino, LeTourneau, Peske, Dudley, Andrews, Altemose, LaMay and Strait.
Both teams coming off wins in their last game thinking this game on the short field would be a slugfest.  Both teams were scoreless in the first inning with good fielding play from both team and good pitching also.  Flyers posted another zip in the second, but the Braves pushed across two runs on singles from LeTourneau, Peske and Dudley, then an infield out off the bat of Altemose produced the second run.  Again, in the 3rd both teams posted Zero’s.
With runners on the first and second in the fourth inning Constantine lined a single to left center field for a run for the Flyers.  At the end of four the score was Braves 2 Flyers 1.  (You gotta be kidding) That never happens on Field A.
Flyers put on their wings in the 5th after holding the Braves scoreless in the bottom of the forth.  Benson led off with a double, singles from Britton, Castilleja, Lopiccolo, Taylor and Fabian gave the Flyers a 6 to 2 lead.
Flyers added another 2 runs in the 5th on singles from Zukic and Simon and a three base drive off the bat and speed from Constantine.  Braves manager tells his team we need some runs!  So, Fryzowicz doubles as does Newton, Hite walks and singles from Krieger, Marino and LeTourneau drive in the 4th run for the Braves.
Pitching and some good fielding plays from the Braves held the Flyers without a run scoring in the 7th.  Singles from Dudley, Andrews, Altemose, LaMay, Strait, and Fryzowicz, produces 4 runs.  After a fielders choice and a flyout, Hite lines one up the middle for the 5th run of the inning for the Braves.
Flyers held scoreless in the top of the 8th.  Braves add two more in the bottom of the inning.  Score now Braves 13 Flyers 8.  Flyers came out swinging in the top of the 9th with three singles and a double from Constantine but could only manage 3 runs before the final out was recorded.  Final Score Braves 13 Flyers 11.
Hitters for the Flyers – Simon 4 for 5, Boswell 2 for 4, Constantine 3 for 4 w/ 2B and 3B. 3 for 3 w/W, Fabian 2 for 3.
