Today a good game was played between the N.Y. Yankees and the Fighting Coconuts. We enjoyed the excellent weather and good sportsmanship. Manager for the Yankees Don Keller had shoulder issues and wasn't able to play so he umpired in the field. We also thank Joe D'Herin for catching for both teams as well as umpiring behind the plate.

There was good hitting from both teams. We played on the short fence field so most players were using wooden bats. Only those over 80 years age were allowed to use the regular senior bats.
The Coconuts won 21 to 9.

After the game prayer was held at pitcher's mound. In our prayer we remembered upcoming surgery for Don Keller and for success there. Also, it was Henry Rivero's birthday, and we sang the birthday song to him.
