Freddie’s Angels vs. JD Pride
Winter Haven DiamondPlex Field B
Another sad day for JD PRIDE as they barely fielded a team, again. They did bring a promising rookie up to the big leagues, Danny Parker, who pitched a decent game, but the Pride bats just weren’t there, as they lost to the first place team, Freddie’s Angels, 20-10. The Angels scored at least one run in every inning, except the fifth, leading 20-3 before the Pride brought nine men to the plate in the bottom of the seventh, producing eight hits and seven runs. Leading the final charge was another rookie, Ray Roy, who lead off the inning with a triple, completing a perfect day (3/3 and a sacrifice fly). But it was not enough, as they lost again, 20-10.
The leading hitters for the Angels were:
F. Gonzalez 3/5 with two doubles
Toro 4/5
Brock 4/5 with a double
Zelazny 3/4
Deemie 3/4
The leading hitters for JD Pride were:
Rivera 3/5 with a double
Pcholinski 3/5 with a double
Keller 3/4 with a triple and a sac. fly
Roy 3/3 with a triple
