Tigers Vs Cubs  Field B

Russ King’s Tigers took on the Cub’s managed by Don LaMay.  Russ put together this line up:  S. Hill, Dampier, McLellan, Kallister, Levesque, Zakrowski, LeTournes, Ducham, Marinacci, Stepp, Strait, King and Gibson.  Don’s team took the field and batted in this order:  Andrews, Thompson, Laffoon, Shaffer, Miller, Guspyt, Jones, Kline, Taylor, Leggett, Welton, Moots, L. Baker and G. Baker.

Hill led off the 1^st with a walk, Dampier drove the ball to the warning track but Andrews made a running catch for the first out of the game.  McLellan and Kallister followed with singles and Levesque drove one to the fence for a triple driving in two runs.  Zakrowski singled the runner in, then LeTournes added another liner to left and Marinacci base hit for the 5^th run of the inning.  Andrews leads off with a base hit and Thompson walked followed with 2 more singles from Shaffer and Miller batting in the second run of the inning for the Cubs.  End of one the score is Tigers 5 Cubs 2.  Both team were scoreless in the second.  Dampier, McLellan and Kallister start the 3^rd with base hits and Levesque cleared the bases with a triple to deep left center.  Zakrowski single drives in the runner from third.  After two outs and the runner moving into scoring position Marinacci again drove in the 5^th run of the inning.  Cubs were scoreless in the bottom of the inning.  Both team added 2 runs in the 4^th.  Tigers added 5 more in the 5^th and 8^th innings while holding the Cubs to one run over the final five in the last 5 innings. Flip-Flop rule in effect and Cubs batted their 8^th and 9^th innings.  Final Score for the day was   Tigers 25 Cubs 5.

Tigers hitters: Hill 3 for 4 2 dbls, Dampier 2 for 4, McLellan 3 for 4, Levesque 3 for 4 2 dbls and triple, Zakrowski 3 for 4, Stepp 4 for 4 dbl, King 4 for 4 triple.

Cub’s batters:  Andrews 3 for 3 and Shaffer 3 for 3, Miller, Kline and Taylor each had 2 for 3.
