Well the Solivita sluggin' smashers visited Winter Haven for a double header today against the American League and definately lived up to the name I just gave them. They swept the double header and are now on a 4 game winning streak against our AMERICAN League. The first game was a flip flop won by Solivita 16-6 and the 2nd was a final of 15-7. Solivita just peppered the ball all day and made very few errors. Winter Haven would get runners on but just had trouble getting the ball out of the infield with runners in scoring position.
As always it was a very fun time by all and the bond between the 2 league keeps growing stronger. Now there is talk of combining a travel team made up of both teams. "Softball COMRADERIE is great".
The only game won by Winter Haven today was by me umping the bases and their 1st baseman Bo was how many warm up balls he could toss into 3rd base dugout. He got one in and I won that 9-1. Good luck next time Bo.
It was another fantastic time.
