Winter Haven Senior Softball – Open Play Season
Winter Haven Senior Softball plays every Tuesday and Friday at the Winter Haven DiamondPlex, located just behind Polk State College off 7th Street NE and the PSC Access Road. Please park in the PSC parking lot.
Players should sign in by 8:30 AM. Games typically begin around 9:00 AM and finish by 11:00 AM.
League Season & Player Draft
Each December, the board conducts a player draft for the upcoming league season, which runs from January through February. Players registered before the draft will be assigned to a team — unless they choose to participate as pool players — in either the American or National league.
Historically, league placement has been based primarily on age, with players 70 and older generally competing in the National League, with occasional exceptions. Players may request placement in either division, though all requests are subject to board review.
The league schedule will be posted here as soon as it is made available.
Seasonal Start‑Time Adjustments
Beginning January 1, game start times move to 9:30 AM. Players should arrive by 9:00 AM or call in so team managers can coordinate pool players. With the spring time change, start time returns to 8:30 AM (sign‑in time).
