Victoria M. 'Vicki' (Gettler) Fabian — St. Charles

Victoria M. 'Vicki' (Gettler) Fabian, 63, of Big Lake, formerly of St. Charles and Eyota, died peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud due to complications from pancreatitis.
Victoria M. Gettler was born March 24, 1951, to LeRoy and Mary Gettler of St. Charles. Victoria worked at Dell's Cafe while attending high school. After high school, she married Kenneth Waldemar of Spring Valley. They had three beautiful children and lived in Eyota for 17 years. She attended college in Rochester where she obtained her nursing degree while working and raising three children. She worked at Mayo Clinic for 22 years as a nurse.
In 1992, she married Loren Fabian of Eyota. They enjoyed 22 years together. Victoria loved to fish and could out-fish anyone. They enjoyed many wonderful years at their cabin on French Lake in Faribault.
Survivors include her husband, Loren; sons, Scott Waldemar of Rochester and Dallas Waldemar of Eyota; daughter, Jen Rahman (Jay Martin) of Rochester; stepson, Alex Fabian (LeeAnna) of Lawton, Okla.; 14 fabulous grandchildren, Catherine, Spencer, Justin, BreAnna, Bailey, Brady, Eric, Chase, Anne-Marie, Ella, Grace, Zach, Audrey and Harvey. Victoria had three brothers, Jim Gettler of Blaine, Mike Gettler (Bobbie) of Mooresville, N.C., and Rand Gettler (Julie) of Rollingstone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Mary Gettler and by her grandchild, Grace Waldemar, daughter of Dallas and Sara Waldemar.
Funeral will be held Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. with visitation before the service at 1 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1900 E. Sixth St., St. Charles, MN 55972.
