Powell's Braves took on Fabian's Flyers in a very even game for 4 1/2 innings as Powell was up by 1 14-13 going into the bottom of the 5th. That's when Fabe's team started flying high as they finished out with 5 runs in each of the last 4 innings they batted, not having to bat in the bottom of the 9th. 50 runs were scored and not a lot of errors. Many hits on both sides.

As near as I could tell, there was over 70 hits total and the Flyers scored 33 of the 50 runs which leaves Powell's Braves with the other 17. Everyone had at least 3 hits, but here are the perfect day hitters. Braves. Ayer.       5-5
                         Burtner.  4-5
                         Dampier. 4-6 w/2hrs
                         Duff.        4-6
                         Minder.    4-5
                         LaMay.     3-4

Flyers.         Andrews.        3-4 w/hr
                   Laffoon.          5-5
                   Schapeler.      5-6
Knox.              3-4 and fine catches in right center
                   Kline.               4-4
                   Bowley.            4-5
The Flyers did turn 4 double plays up the middle and cut off some pretty big potential rallies by doing so as they all ended innings.      (THERE IS DEFENSE OUT THERE)

Fans in the stands were Alice LaMay, Al Laffoon and Rudy's personal rooting section of Linda, Clem and 2 new Canadiens already committed to joining the league next year, Bruce and Mary Ann. Welcome aboard. Get them applications Rudy.
