Winter Haven Senior Softball

Let’s get the web page going again guys.  Sure miss the write up during the summer back in Michigan.  So here we go again.  Visiting Team lined up like this.  Kline, Strait, Duff Hill, Burns, Leggett, Powell, Fabian, Schapeler, McNiven, P. Gelasky and Steve Hill.  Home Team batted in this order.  Taylor, Miller, Robert Spitaleri, Bess, Bowley, Aufiero, Ridley, Grabb, Marino, Welton and Shaffer.  Game was mostly offense today.  Visitors started with a Kline double to right center, D. Hill than tripled him in and scored on an infield out.  Two runs in.  Home team started with four singles from Taylor, Miller, Robert, and Bess.  Aufiero singled and Ridley tripled, Home team five runs.  Visitors Powell, Fabin, Schapeler, McNiven, Gelasky started a rally.  S. Hill batted in a run and the fifth run of the inning scored on an infield out.  6 straight singles from Grabb, Marino, Welton, Schffer, Taylor and Miller tallied 4 runs before the inning ended with a 6-4-3 double play.  After 2 innings the score was Home 9 Visitors 7.  The game played out like this until the end.  Visitors scored in every inning.  Home team drew blanks in two innings but tallied 5 run in 3 of their innings.  After 8 innings Home team up 26 to 21.  Visitors started a rally in the 9^th with 4 singles and added 3 runs but fell two runs short.  Final Score H 26  V 24.
