On Thursday, 15 December 2022, the Winter Haven Travel Team went to Solavita and took on the Red team of Solivita in the last games of the 2022 season. These games were some of the best games Winter Haven has played all year.
We came out swinging with hit after hit. Winning game one 34/13. Everyone hit up and down the lineup. We also played great defense.
Game Two was no different, hit after hit and great defense again. We won 5/28.
Notable hitting: Dave Doerbaum went 8/8 hitting 4 HRs. Manny Rios went 9/9 with 1 HR, Eddie Hurn went 9/10 with 2 HRs, and Rusty Skipper who was the lead off hitter went 8/9.
The team hit 10 home runs in the two games. It was just our day.
