RECAP FOR THE WEEK OF 12/14 TO 12/17

Tuesday morning started out with a hitting clinic sponsored by Dave Doerbaum. Dave got a couple of batting pros from Miken/Worth to put on a hitting clinic for about 30 American League and National League players. The clinic was well received and the batting pros, Bob O'Reilly and Alan Tanner did a great job. Several pictures and videos were posted to the website but you had to be there to hear and see what they had to say to get the full impact of how great those guys were.

In addition to the batting clinic on Tuesday morning, we had 35 National League players involved in a three team game on Field B. I did not get a write up for this game, but it was close until the bottom of the sixth inning when Team 3 scored 5 runs. Final score was 14-15-22 with Team 3 not getting to bat in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Friday, December 17th

Today the American League played on Field “B”. 22 players participated in the game.

The Green team was managed by Tom Hamilton and the Blue team was managed by Lou Guzman.

The game went back and forth for only two innings. At the end of the third inning, the Green team scored 4 runs giving them a 6-2 lead. This held until the end of the 5th inning as the Green team scored another 4 runs, making it 2-10. The Green team kept scoring. The Blue team did finally score three runs in the 9th, but it wouldn’t be enough. The final score was 5-16, the Green team being victorious.

Tuesday we look forward to play the Sebring team.

From LGG.

We had enough players in the National League to have four teams today. I should get some write ups from these games and I will post them when I get them. On Tuesday, December 21st, I will try to put together the League teams as much as I can. Be there for the fun.

We will be playing ball of Friday, December 24th for anyone who shows up.
