Winter Haven Senior Softball

TUESDAY MARCH 8 - FIELD C
JD's Motown boys took on Freddy's first place Angels on a beautiful day.  Motown jumped out quickly but after 3 it was tied 6-6 highlighted by a Solo Ogden HR, and a 2 run hit for Deemie (who was just getting started).  Motown kept pecking away but 4 in the 5th and 5 in the 6th highlighted by a 3run Deemie triple put the Angels up by 6.  Good pitching by Brock and Miguel Gonzalez(tough loss) kept the scoring down.  Brock(WP) made the lead stand up as the Angels coasted to an 18-10 win.  Strong defense by both teams despite a 20mph wind was seen throughout the game.  Leading hitters for Motown:  Rivera 4-5;  Rad3-4 Sac; Busch 3-5; M. Gonzalez 5-5;  Angels:  Witmer 3-5; Jacobson 3-4; Brock 2-2 2BB; Benson 4-4; F Gonzalez 3-4 3B; Constantine 3-4 2B;  Deemie (star of the game) 4-4 2B,3B,6RBI.
