Winter Haven Senior Softball

Taits vs JD's started out close, 5 to 3, in favor of Taits.  Leadoff homer by Jose Rivera and 5 consecutive hits accounted for the 5 runs.  The Taits continued the 5 run tallies for the next 5 innings totaling 30 runs for the game.  Highlights were another homer from Jose and homers from Hamilton,Stier, and Essenmacher and clutch hitting thru out the Taits lineup.  JD's boys could only counter with 8 tallies of their own.  Final score for game 1 was 30-11.

Back and forth game first 5 innings, score 15-13 JD's boys.  Highlights were homeruns by Jose and Doerbaum.  Taits scored 7 runs in the 5th and 6th innings and Larry Wells shut out the JD's in these innings.  Final score Taits 20 and JD 15.  Many outstanding plays on both sides and a fun game to play.  Good sportmanship on both sides.  Thanks to Nick Matta for umping two good games.
