Winter Haven Board Meeting

Tuesday 20 June 2023.
Attendees: Don W., Bob H., Chris C., and Lou Guzman.
Manny and Loren out due to medical.
8:00 am meeting was called to order by Commissioner Witmer.
I) Minutes from the April 18, 2023 meeting were waived.
II) Treasures report by Bob Hite, see report for details.
III) No old business was covered.
IV) New Business
1- Sponsor Gifts was tabled until Loren returns.
2- Summer Party: This even will be sponsored by Glory Days Grill, Winter Haven. Date proposed is Tuesday 8 August 2023.
3- Other Business:
A) Lou Guzman redid the sponsor letter and proposed a new way of presenting the solicitation package.
B) Lou Guzman recommended that we include sponsors on all communications.
C) Don Witmer reported that Glory Day’s Grill will be providing water at some of the games during the summer.
D) Lou Guzman reported that the American League will be traveling to Solivita on Thursday 30 June 2023 for a three team tournament and BBQ. Members of the team will be providing the food and will be doing the grilling as well.
Note:
The fields will be closed on the following dates:
Friday 30 June, field maintenance.
Tuesday 4 July, America’s birthday.
Friday 7 July, USA JO Cup National Tournament.
Meeting was adjourned. Next meeting scheduled for August 15, 2023.
