Black Friday Game.  All the players showed up stuffed to the gills. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  It’s a great time of the year and we know that the league will start in a little over a month from now.  The National League game began on field C with two well matched teams made up of mostly the old guys and a few from the American League. 
The visiting team managed by Thompson with a supporting line up of Black, S. Hill, Burns, Stan(the Man), Crowe, Zakrowski, Ducham, Strait, Burelli, Witter and L. Baker.
Home team manages by Moots with a line up of Hite, Torres, McLellan, F. Miller, Taylor, Lopiccolo, Welton, Merritt, B. Mohan, M. Mohan and Gibson.
On Black Friday who else should lead off for the visitors by Elmer Black. After one out Hill doubles to left center, Thompson doubles down the right field corner, Burns doubles to deep right center.  Stan singles in the hole as does Crowe to drive in the 3rd and final run of the inning.
Hite was right as he led off with a base rap for the Home team.  Torres followed with a triple, McLellan drove a liner to left center.  Taylor and Moots followed with base hits to tie the game at 3 each.  The Visitors manages only a single by Burelli in the 2nd.  Home guy B. Mohan lined a single to left, Gibson looped on over 3rd for single, than Hite singled up the middle and Torres ripped another three bagger deep into right center.  McLellan and F. Miller both singles and tallied 5 runs for Home team.  After two the score was Visitors 3 Home 8.
After an error and a fielder’s choice Thompson, Burns, and Stan singled and some heads up base running after another fielder’s choice tallied 3 runs for the Visitors.  After on out the homers had base hit from Moots and Lopiccolo the visitors turned a double play on a hard smash off the bat of Welton, second to short to first. 
Moving on to the 7th inning with the score now 17 to 12 in favor of the visitors.  Base hits from Zarkowski and Strait produces a run.  Torres leads off for the Home team as does McLellan and Miller and Taylor drives one deep to right for a sac fly. Moots singles and is followed by and error and a ground out, but Merritt lines on to right, B Mohan lines one up the middle and M. Mohan singles in the 6th run of the inning to tie the game at 18 all.  Eighth inning visitors score 2 and home team tallies 1. 
Ninth inning, Stan leads off the liner to left center, Crowe hits on to right and Zakrowski singles in a run.  A long fly off the bat from Ducham bring in the 2nd and final run of the game for the Visitors.  Lopiccolo singles to start the 9th home half.  Welton lines out to 2nd, Merritt singles, B. Mohan doubles to deep right center.  Game now tied and Mohan on second.  A ground out and Mohan moves to 3rd.  Gibson batting with the game on the line and drive a liner to center field for the game winner.
Final score Visitors 22 Home Team 23.   Great Game

Visitors:  S. Hill, 3 for 4;  Thompson 5 for 5 w/double;  Burns 3 for 5 w/2 doubles;  Stan (the Man) 4 for 5; Crowe 3 for 5; Zakrowski 3 for 5. 
Best play of the day:  Ted Taylor made a running shoe string catch in right center.
