Guys,
We have a few team mates that we need to keep in our thoughts and prayers. It seems like lately it's been about us old guys losing sons or having children in trouble.
First Dick Mahon lost his son to cancer.
Now we learn that Chuck Duff's son is also very ill with complex cancer.
And then this past Saturday Jim Lafoon got a call none of us want to get but his son is in the hospital with a brain aneurism.
It's just not the natural order of things. Us old guys are supposed to go before our kids.
Then last Friday after the game, Big Russ King went into the emergency room and is scheduled for major surgery on Sunday morning. Get well soon Russ, we miss your bat.
Anyway, please keep our friends and their families in your thoughts and prayers and please enjoy your time with your family, life is all too short.
