Tuesday August 25

Games are on. Lets have fun today. Practice social distancing or wear a face mask. Stay 6ft apart when possible. Wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer. Stay home if you are sick. Be safe and stay alive to play more softball.

The Winter Haven All Stars lead by rookie manager Lou Guzman were invited to play in a top local tournament held at the Denn John field, Kissimmee Fl. With teams from Kissimmee and Leesburg.

Four teams were in the competition and the all stars won three games in a row to take the championship.

Don Fee lead the team with 3 home runs followed by Eddie Hurn with 1 Home run. Dave Doerbaum pitch three outstanding games while batting 9-9 (1.000). Hurn followed suit with a batting performance 6-6, also 1.000.

Don Fee showed his power and batted .857 while Manny Rios batted .750.

This team is showing great promise as we look forward to playing Solivita on September 4th at Diamond Plex.

This team is being noticed by the local teams that play them.

Special thanks goes to Tony Quinones for setting up these game with the Kissimmee group.

Games are on. Rain predicted this morning. Maybe it will drown the virus. Lets be safe today and every day. Wear a face mask when you can't maintain 6ft social distancing, avoid crowds, wash your hands frequently, use hand sanitizer and most important stay home if you are sick.

2021 Tournament of Champions Bound    55 AAA                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Winter Haven All Stars coached by the outstanding leader, and still leaning rookie manger Lou Guzman shows his leadership on and off the field. Good job and congrats !!

Three players were selected to the All Tournament Team: Eddie Hurn Blasted his way to be named one of the three batting 780 avg. with 4 HR"s . Great defense by Tom Marchionni, batting avg. 720 with key hits driving in runs and an all around good defensive player. The third player Steve Sole avg. 700 solid hitting and great defense. Congratulations and a job well done fellas.

Friday August 7

Games are on. Don't forget the City of Winter Haven has a mandatory Face Mask ordinance inside a building or if you cannot maintain a 6ft Social Distance outside. Please comply with the City ordinance or we might not be allowed to play ball. Stay safe, wash your hands and wear a Face Mask.

Tuesday, August 4th

Another very good 3 team game till the open inning when Fabe's Flyers plated 9 to end up winning 21-10-8. The score sheets weren't kept real well except for the scores and hopefully the hits. 

So here are the hitters.

Friday, July 31st

So glad July 2020 is over and we're over half thru the entire year.   We got to play a very good 3 team game and it was hot 🔥 out there but we got 7 innings in and the only minor causality was not even from heat. Willie Morton took a bad hop off his nose where his sunglasses happened to be which put a nice bleeding gash on the nose, but he continued on to finish the 19-18-14 game. 19 won the gold which was King, Fabian took the silver and the bronze went to Witmer. Team King was losing 15-9 but scored 10 runs in the open inning for a big come from behind win.

It was fun despite the heat, masks and occasional bark from the 6 lb mascot. Come on out Tuesday. By the way, post 8 is open with social distance and a temp check ✔  They are also serving sack lunches. Just like grade school 🏫 only with ⚾  See y'all.
